The event, hosted by Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, was attended by 86 expatriates residing in the city who were visibly pleased with Thomas’ visit.
In his speech, Thomas spoke highly of Filipinos, particularly in terms of character and partnership, and the country’s scenic areas, which he said, are being cherished much by foreign visitors.

PhilCycling at Tagaytay City leg
15 JanThe country’s top cyclists and up-and-coming riders will converge in Tagaytay City and at the Amoranto Velodrome in Quezon City next week for the national open championships for road, mountain bike and track (velodrome).
The road competition on Jan. 15 will cover a 160-kilometer out-and-back (Tagaytay International Convention Center) course, while the MTB race will cover a 50-km route, majority of which will be on rough, rugged and uphill terrain also in Tagaytay, Talisay and Laurel, Batangas. Both races will commence at 8 a.m.
ON PHILCYCLING ELECTIONS
PhilCycling will hold elections for the 15 members of its board. Among those who have filed their candidacy are Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, Harbour Centre owner Mikee Romero, Danao City Councilor Oscar “Boying” Rodriguez and former Tour champion Modesto Bonzo and contender Juancho Ramores.
